Recurring tasks

Some work comes back around — a weekly review, a monthly bill, a daily habit. Turn on repeat, and Nydhei keeps the task on schedule for you.

  1. Open a task and go to Schedule.
  2. Turn on Repeat task and choose how often it returns — daily, weekly, weekdays, monthly, yearly, or a custom pattern.
  3. Set when the series starts. If the task already has a start date, that date is used.

A repeating task can run on with no end, stop on a date you set, or finish after a set number of occurrences — whichever suits the routine.

Before you save, the preview shows the upcoming dates, so you can see exactly how the series falls and adjust the pattern if it isn’t quite right.

When you change a task that’s part of a series, Nydhei asks how far the change should reach:

  • This occurrence only — just the one you opened.
  • This and future open tasks — this one and the unfinished ones ahead.

Occurrences you’ve already completed stay as they are, part of your history.

  • A recurring task behaves like any other — give it a category, times, or links and they carry through each occurrence.
  • Occurrences show up in Planner like any scheduled task, ready to open, move, or complete.
